| Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) is a specialist subsidiary of Scottish Enterprise charged with increasing the contribution of co-operative businesses to Scotland’s economic development. Co-ownership and collaboration can lead to more productive, profitable and sustainable businesses - however business owners and their advisers need to be aware of the potential offered by co-operative business models. The Very People has been working closely with CDS over a five year period to build understanding, awareness and engagement across a diverse range of businesses, business organisations, advisory groups and influencers. As a result of the communications programme, demand for expert advice from CDS has grown year on year and the number of new co-operative enterprises established in Scotland is growing at a record rate. |
